The Women and Families Center's (WFC) annual Walk for Hope helps raise funding for Project REACH, a program that provides housing options and support services for young adults experiencing housing instability or homelessness.

In 2025, the Walk for Hope raised over $20,000 with more than 100 walkers!

This year’s walk will help support Robyn’s House, the WFC’s revitalized short-term housing program for youth ages 18-22. The flat, 2-mile walk winds through the scenic Choate Rosemary Hall campus in Wallingford, CT

WFC has been supporting and uplifting communities in need since 1889. The organization is committed to promoting equity and improving quality of life through services that foster empowerment and independence.

Programs at WFC include Project REACH, Open DOHR, Before & After School, and Sexual Assault Crisis Services (SACS). Through these programs, WFC provides housing support for youth, employment training, educational programs, advocacy for survivors of sexual violence, and a variety of other services.

Through community partnerships and individual support, WFC hopes to continue assisting individuals in need!

Special thanks to our Walk for Hope title sponsor, Ulbrich, a family-owned and operated manufacturing company that has demonstrated outstanding support for community members through the Meriden, Wallingford, and North Haven areas.

Ulbrich’s generous support of $15,000 helps WFC continue to offer services to youth experiencing homelessness in our communities!
